didn't see a bug for it and I use nscd.
I had to manually create /var/run/nscd/ and /var/db/nscd/ before the daemon would work. |

AFAIK, this has been fixed in testing. Don't know if the other
bug, where nscd wants to run as a user that doesn't exist, has
been fixed though.
