DetailsDescription: The dependency tree in some python packages is mixed between python2 and python (3):
python-gobject 3.2.2 for python has gobject-introspection as dependency, and gobject-introspection 1.32.1-2 has python2 as dependency It seems wierd that a python dependent package needs python2 As the packages are also out of date, it could be good to clarify that point with an update of them. Thanks. |
This task depends upon
gobject-introspection depends on python2 because the scanner and the compilation tool requires python2. look at the shebang for the files: pacman -Ql gobject-introspection | grep bin
note that the tools require python2 and not the library libgirepository-1.0.so.1
python-gobject contains the bindings for python as in python 3 and it depends on gobject-introspection because it requires the library /usr/lib/python3.2/site-packages/gi/_gi_cairo.so -- libgirepository-1.0.so.1
as for being out of date, none of them are out of date. Gnome follows the odd/even scheme for versioning, which means odd unstable, even stable.
