DetailsDescription:
With KDE 4.8.x installed and used with workspace "netbook" the system will hang with 100% cpu usage when switching pages on the netbook desktop (eg switching from 'Search and Launch' to 'Page one' by clicking on 'Page one' tab with the left mouse button). This does not occur in other linux distributions. The executable 'plasma-netbook' from the package 'kdebase-workspace' is the guilty culprit, using 100% cpu and effectively hanging the desktop environment. Additional info: * package version(s) KDE 4.8.x package kdebase-workspace, program plasma-netbook * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Set desktop workspace to 'netbook'. Swith between 'Search and Launch' page to 'Page one' by clicking on 'Page one' tab |
