Description:

When acpid is started on system-boot, wifi-connections (connected via network-manager-applet) with wpa2 get disconnected after a few minutes (or earlier on network-load-peaks) and fails ti reconnect. This happens on both, 2.4gHz and 5gHz networks. when acpid is started while system is aleady started and users are logged on, this seems not to happen. when acpid was started on boot, stopping the daemon does not help.

Additional info:
* [linux] 3.4.3-1
* [acpid] 2.0.16-3
* iwl4965 firmware version 228.61.2.24

Steps to reproduce:

* start system with acpid enabled in /etc/rc.conf (loaded dynamically in my case)
* connect to a wpa2-wifi via network-manager
* produce traffic
* watch dmesg or /var/log/everything.log or something to see the wifi get disconnected and failing on retry by authentification error
* i'll try to attach some logs which are more precise soon

ok. Everything works fine without acpid running?
Comment by Kai (zeus86) - Saturday, 30 June 2012, 14:08 GMT
yes. if acpid was NOT started on boot everything is fine, even if i start the daemon while i'm logged in. when it has been started on boot, even stopping the daemon does not help.

Weird. Can you report your issue to acpid upstream. You will get more help there.
