Details

Description:
I did pacman -Syuu today
(the log file excerpt is attached)

When shutting down I get the message
INIT: no more proceses left in this runlevel

and the machine hangs forever

I just checked my inittab and it seems to be ok, booting the system works as expected. Only shutdown is affected.

Up-to-date install with all testing repos enabled

Tracked it down a bit more. It depends on bluetooth loaded in rc.conf. If I disable this all is well again. You don't even have to start X to check this. Even with initlevel 3 (shell) you get the same. Invoking '/etc/rc.d/bluetooth stop' immedeately throws you out of your shell and shutdown hangs.

Still valid with latest updates filesystem 2012.6-3 and bluez 4.100-1. Sorry for the bad news.

@Harvey: can you confirm that this is a problem both with bluez 4.99 and 4.100 ?

I have the same problem from yesterday, just like Harvey...
I don't have [testing] repo enabled, just core, extra and community.

Again, its still there with latest updates filesystem 2012.6-3 and bluez 4.100-1. Sorry for the delay but due to another newly introduced bug (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=143506) I have only Internet when at work. Times are hard for me itm ;)

with update to psmisc 22.18-2 all is well again. Bug can be closed AFAIK
