this file is now /usr/share/dict/de-en.txt

is there something that does not work for you for dings? do you get some error/warning that asks for this file?

it's simple: when i try to translate something i don't get but the error:
No Dictionary files found! See Options | Search Options ... || /usr/share/trans/de-en

what version of ding do you use?

[damir@Asteraceae ~]$ pacman -Q ding
ding 1.4-1
[damir@Asteraceae ~]$ pacman -Ql ding
ding /usr/
ding /usr/bin/
ding /usr/bin/ding
ding /usr/share/
ding /usr/share/dict/
ding /usr/share/dict/de-en.txt

same version here
Ql output looks the same -- but it does NOT work, obviously I'd have to set path to the file somewhere - but where?

hmm ... that is strange. did you installed this version or did you have an older version and updated?

maybe a remove and reinstall would help?

pacman -R ding
pacman -S ding

?
