DetailsDescription: The current v86d PKGBUILD does not include a backup array for uvesafb.conf, which means this file gets overwritten, removing user's resolution customizations...

If you want to override this file, make your changes in /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb.conf (same filename is important).
