Strange characters fill the screen during post-udev boot. Seems a locale problem

Perhaps its a naming problem of UTF\utf as in http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.arch.general/41783

But changing LOCALE="en_US.UTF-8" to LOCALE="en_US.utf-8" in rc.conf didn't work either

It's an initscripts issue. We already remove similar things in /var/log/boot. It looks like we'll need to add another one to the list.

Tom: I'm not sure but I think the sysvinit in testing no longer produce these things. Florian will know about it.

Please try with new systemd-tools and new initscripts in testing. Does this solve all your problems?
