DetailsWhen upgrading to mkinitcpio-0.9.2-1 and linux-3.3.8-1 today, I got this error:
==> Building image from preset: 'fallback' -> -k /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img -S autodetect ==> Starting build: 3.3.8-1-ARCH -> Running build hook: [base] (...) -> Running build hook: [fsck] ==> ERROR: binary dependency `libbsd.so.0' not found for `/sbin/fsck.hfsplus' ==> Generating module dependencies ==> Creating gzip initcpio image: /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img ==> WARNING: errors were encountered during the build. The image may not be complete. It also happened for linux-lts 3.0.33-1, in both cases only during the generation of the fallback image. I do have libbsd (and hfsprogs) installed since more than a year and this is the first time I see this error. |

ls -l /usr/lib/libbsd*
ldd /sbin/fsck.hfsplus
After reinstalling hfsprogs from the AUR, the error doesn’t appear anymore.
Sorry, and thanks for the help. I hesitated between posting in the forum or making a bug report, should have posted in the forum!
