it seems that pam-0.80 is really buggy, while the patched 0.79-3 worked flawlessly, with the 0.80 which has merged the funktionality from that patch, things are broken. The variable names have been changed and that seems not the only thing. Pam has moreover an new feature to segfault when you give a wrong password on `su -`
It's not nice, but I will have a look at it.

wget ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686/pam-0.80-2.pkg.tar.gz

this will give you a patched version, I prolly tag it tomorrow after having a second look at
http://bugs.archlinux.org/?do=details&id=3022

but you could help me on verify that it works, thanks

Seems to work. At least it doesn't complain about those items not being recognized and su doesn't segfault anymore ;-)
