i see the bad space. But i doesn't have issue with installation, can you show more? Runned command, complete terminal output?

It popped up for me while running makepkg where perl-test-output was a makedepend. IIRC the package was perlbrew. When it tried to resolve its dependencies, it failed from the space. I should have made clear initially that it was from a makepkg run. Perhaps something done different with that than with a direct pacman command?

Doesn't seem like I can reproduce it any longer, might have just been a fluke in some combination of things I was doing or packages installed at that time.
