Detailstin installs a url_handler.sh and so does urlview, which results in a failure to install urlview if tin's already on the system - and presumably a failure to install tin if urlview is already on. Despite the name, the scripts are different. Neither package is listed as conflicting with the other, which actually right, as they shouldn't. I renamed tin's handler to url_view_tin.sh and modified ~/.tinrc to look to that and then installed urlview with 'pacman -f'. So perhaps something like that could solve the problem, if nothing else.
I didn't know where to report this as it's a problem with both packages combined but was advised on the forum to just pick one, so I picked tin. |
