Although i can hardly believe you, please tell us how Blender affects your playlists?

a) disk filling up?
b) cpu usage?

Fedora 16 and OpenSuse 12.1 also has that problem.

This bug report is useless. You didn't state any problem at all nor did you provide logs or other stuff. I'm closing this rather soon if you don't give us a proper description. Also, if whatever is a problem in other distros too, it's not an Arch package bug. Go bug upstream about this.
