As other languages have, create a secondary package with the HTML/PDF documentation. A suggested PKGBUILD is attached.

Any feedback is welcome :-) (jimenezrick@gmail.com)

What are the reasons against including this in the erlang package? How big would such a erlang-doc package be?
Comment by Ricardo (jimenezrick) - Thursday, 31 May 2012, 15:04 GMT
erlang-docs has a size of 150MB including HTML+PDF docs. I thought of having it apart just like python-docs, php-docs have.

Ok, the only thing that is missing here is the actual license. Did you check which one the docs are licensed under?
Comment by Ricardo (jimenezrick) - Monday, 04 June 2012, 12:42 GMT
Well, the license is EPLICENCE, the same that Erlang itself. The license files (/usr/share/doc/erlang/{COPYRIGHT,README}) are installed by the erlang package, because of that, erlang-docs doesn't copy those files. The index.html and some other files from doc include a license disclaimer in the HTML code.

It is necessary to include those /usr/share/doc/erlang/{COPYRIGHT,README} files somehow in the erlang-docs package?

Any other feedback in the other erlang issues? (closing man pages issue and PKGBUILD simplification?)

I removed the "options=('docs')", it wasn't necessary.
