DetailsPackage laptop-mode-tools 1.61-1 can block init when booting without AC power if ENABLE_BATTERY_LEVEL_POLLING is true. Service was stuck on BUSY, had to boot with init=/bin/bash to disable this module.
This must be another flock bug, ever since they started using this for the battery polling helper it causes nothing but trouble, not being able to get to a login prompt was really annoying, Ctrl-c could not interrupt. Additional info: * v1.61 * /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/battery-level-polling.conf ENABLE_BATTERY_LEVEL_POLLING=0 Steps to reproduce: Boot on battery power only. Upstream has no bug tracker. Broken boot is a serious problem though. |
