Description: Saw this problem a few hours ago. I tried to record a video, and nothing was recorded ; webm file was 0 byte, and after I stopped the recording, webm file is only 300 bytes.

I have a fully up-to-date archlinux with testing enabled. problem can be seen with both nvidia and nouveau driver.

Additional info:
- xorg-server : 1.12.1.902-1
- nvidia : 295.53-2

Also, it seems the bug appeared with last kernel update.

Steps to reproduce:

Just have a fully up-to-date archlinux with testing, and gnome installed. Use crtl+alt+shift+R, and try recording a video.

Got this error in .xsession-errors :

To add some infos : it happens around the time kernel 3.4-1 was uploaded. Maybe a gstreamer or one of its depends ?

Could it be related to gnome 3.4.2 component upgrade ? And related to last mesa update ?

Got the guilty package : downgrading libvpx is the answer !
