Description:

We should remove /var/lock/* (as a tmpfs) from this package and add a tmpfiles.d instead.

I can confirm this. Using the command pacman -Qk does give me:

warning: dmraid: /var/lock/dmraid/ (No such file or directory)
dmraid: 37 total files, 1 missing file

dmraid now conflicts with package 'filesystem' as both own /var/lock. I do not open a new bug as the suggested solution should solve the problem as well.

Fine, other than the path needing to /run/lock, not /var/lock.

Well, the path dmraid uses is /var/lock/. As this is a symlink to /run/lock/ it does not really matter technically...
But if you prefer that path I am fine with that. ;)

No, it does matter. The point is that /var/lock eventually goes away.

releng builds broken until this gets fixed (due file conflict)

In that case, this is fixed in testing.
