While recording video with ffmpeg too many fps are dropped if set to record to a certain rate of fps, without the setting the recording only use a third of fps available from the source. Downgrading to linux-3.3.2-1 fixed the issue. Additional info: * package version(s) linux-3.3.4-2 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: using the following ffmpeg command to record from a Logitech pro 9000: ffmpeg -t 600 -f alsa -i pulse -acodec ac3 -f video4linux2 -s 960x720 -r 15 -i /dev/video0 -vcodec libx264 -threads 0 cam_`date +%F_%T`.avi |
