DetailsDescription:
I upgraded couchdb (couchdb-1.2.0-2git20111115-i686 using pacman -> couchdb-1.2.0-3-i686) when I restarted couchdb did not start on boot. when I ran '/etc/rc.d/couchdb restart' it did not start I ran 'couchdb -i' and an error was displayed, unfortunately I did not note it, and I cannot find it in logs. It lead me to think something was missing on startup, so I updated erlang and tried again. Same result. I then ran a system update and it did start up as expected. It seems that the requirement for install need to be tweaked. I should note that I had/have a parallel installation of couchdb 1.2 installed from source to /opt and it has been running for some time with no errors. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: cannot reproduce. |

I think you should provide error message, because of couchdb starts on my machine with rc.d script.
