steps to reproduce:
1) upgrade to 3.3.4
2) try to start wifi

right now I don't have any file on this computer, but it was happening to someone else in #archlinux, when I then upgraded to 3.3.4 and ran into the same problem

can't confirm it, using Atheros AR9285 wicd and 3.3.4-1, everything is working as it should.

I'm the user from #archlinux who mentioned this problem. I switched back to kernel 3.2.14-1 and the problem didn't show. I then re-ran 'pacman -Syu' which put me back at kernel 3.3.4-1 and the problem still hasn't shown.

Still no idea what originally caused the problem, but things are working now.
