Description:
When using encrypted partitions with a password at boot, the KEYMAP (in the rc.conf) variable isn’t used yet, forcing the user to use a password he can type in qwerty. Additional info: * version: 2012.03.2-1 Steps to reproduce: 1 - set KEYMAP to something not english (e.g. fr-pc) 2 - set your LUKS password to something you can only type with that layout 3 - Reboot 4 - Can’t enter the password |

You can add the keymap hook in your initramfs.
Thanks for the report, this should not be to difficult to fix.
