Description:
A2DP does not work with bluez' configuration shipped with the package. This is probably an upstream bug, because there's no "Enable=Socket" in the [General] section of the audio.conf. References: - https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1046304#p1046304 - http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bluetooth_Headset Patch (the one with "[PATCH] socket enable for bluez 0_98" as commit message): http://patches.openembedded.org/patch/21579/ Additional info: * package version(s) Version : 4.99-2 * config and/or log files etc. see the audio.conf from the package Steps to reproduce: Simply try to connect to an A2DP headset (or something similar). Error messages are shown in the gentoo wiki: http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bluetooth_Headset |

This was already covered on the arch mailing list:
https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-general/2012-January/024386.html
But still: it's unfortunate that users that still want to use the (deprecated) socket
method are not informed that they have to change their configuration.
It still has the same bug/issue.
So I guess either it was not applied or it did not work.
