The file /usr/share/zsh/functions/Completion/Linux/_pkgtool should not include makepkg in the compdef
and also the actual completion function should be removed as well because it completes something like
--chown and one other function which are not useful to makepkg

pacman 4.1 will include completion for makepkg that conflicts with this. I believe this is a slackware tool (which we've omitted from bash-completion as well).

that is for bash completion

this is about zshcompletion which has makepkg completion in /usr/share/zsh/functions/Completion/Linux/_pkgtool

#compdef installpkg upgradepkg removepkg pkgtool explodepkg makepkg

I'm not an idiot, I know it was for bash_completion. Did you even read Dave's comment right before mine? I was just trying to add some context...
