Details

Description: Several days ago I updated my Arch64 system. I used "sudo yaourt -Syu" to update. I have Hercules DJControl MP3 E2(midi-controller) to work with my music projects(device usb id is: 06f8:b105). But after the update, when I connect my device to my laptop everything is ok but when I load kernel module to work with it (sudo modprobe hdj_mod)
my system falls to tty-console and I get the message about kernel panic. Before the update I worked on this controller using this module(the same(!) version) for 5 monthes I used kernel versions 3.2.11/3.0.x/2.39.* and everything was exccelent. But the last update broke everything, I don't know what to do, how to let my system to work with this device. I wrote about my problem on several forums such as mixxx.org and forum.archlinux.org, but nobody can help me to resolve the problem. I suppose that the problem is not connected with the kernel because I compiled kernels of some previous versions from the source by myself and I had the same problem.I repeat that I used after this update the same hdjmod version(driver) as I used it before(hdjmod package from AUR). They say that the device is not genuie midi-device and users use the hdj_mod module to say the kernel to define it as midi-device.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

I want to add the last kernel version I used to test my device to work was 3.3.2 but I got the kernel panic again.

hdj_mod is not an official kernel module included in the kernel, so you should either provide backtraces to show that the kernel is at fault, or contact the author of hdj_mod to ask for support.
