I tried to build inkscape in aur today, and the belnet sf mirror that PKGBUILD used gave me a connection refuse.

(paste at the end)

There is http://dl.sourceforge.net/ which imho should be used here instead of the local mirrors because you may run into all sorts of problems, like this or if some mirror is down at the time etc, which the "general" one just overcomes that.

Now, here's what I got:
[root@gondolin inkscape]# makepkg
==> Making package: inkscape 0.41-1 (Τρι Ιούλ 12 00:04:46 EEST 2005)

=> `inkscape-0.41.tar.gz'

problem with the dl.sourceforge.net system is that most of the times it redirects me to belnet, which is the worst mirror of them all: missing files, problematic FTP servers, etc. I usually put in heanet in there by hand and forget to remove it before committing most of the times.

It's the same for me, and especially when I package very new software which isn't present on all mirrors I have to choose a particular one. So I fix this, but be prepared that this will happen from time to time.
