DetailsDescription:
On the component chooser for text editors, in kde, I have an empty drop down list of editors. Meanwhile, kwrite and kate are installed in the system, and both when runned give the following: "A KDE text-editor component could not be found. Please check your KDE installation." Searching a bit , through the internet , the proposed "dbus-launcher kwrite" fix, didn't work. First appeared after last kde upgrade. Additional info: * package version(s) kde 4.8.2 latest packages from official archlinux I have send also the bug report upstream to bugs.kde.org, in the case that the bug is from official sources, and not related to kde archlinux builds. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: Both kwrite and kate depends on katepart. Probably something was wrong in the user's system.
