currently, I am trying to downgrade nvidia from 295-40 to 295-33
i haven't been able to find anything in the logs I have looked in but
I will attach dmesg and Xorg and everything.log

I can upload anything else that might be helpful too

I think I solved this, there was a problem with an anacron script that was in /etc/cron.hourly, it was repeatedly spawning bash sessions,
but it has been in there for a long time, so I am not sure what caused the problem, but I think it is ok to close this

in a bit, I am going to restart with crond still on and see if it still crashes within the hour
