Detailshi judd
here is the complete updated udev.rules file + PKGBUILD changed kernel= to kernel== changed bus= to bus== changed all sysfs= rules to sysfs== changed RESULT= to RESULT== changed the rest of SYMLINK= to SYMLINK+= added new fw rules with setting group video # this is from gentoo ebuild: --snipp added a symlink to hotplug.d/ added hotplug.dev to /etc/dev.d/net added again dev.d rule added new EXTRA= options --snap now all should be fine and hopefully the last udev upgrade for the next days ;) PLEASE DON'T UPDATE TO 061 YET because hal needs a change for this and else permissions will not work. greetings tpowa |
This task depends upon
PKGBUILD
now also changed to SUBSYSTEM==
greetings

061 is somehow bugged it just changes the group and owner of devices, very weird, i think this is a bug in new udev that will probably fixed in 062.
060 now works with this rules and are up to new rule scheme :)
Cool, rule updates look good. One thing I wasn't sure about...
In /etc/dev.d/net/hotplug.dev, it's looking for a script at /etc/hotplug.d/default/default.hotplug but we don't have that file. Is this a bug or a purposeful omission?
/etc/hotplug.d/default/default.hotplug is owned by hotplug 2004_09_23-4
at least on my system it does exist :)
i'm working on 062 atm will send the result to this bug
now update to 062 the issue with permissions is now fixed.
cleaned up the PKGBUILD again, removed usb-storage.sh
added chassid_id and usb_id to Extras=
removed scsi-devfs from normal udev install (now our cvs script is only installed)
commented out rmdir /udev it's not created anymore
added raid-devfs.sh with rules from gentoo
added cdsymlinks.conf to backup array
changed my symlink stuff at the end of PKGBUILD to a clean solution.
finally updated md5sums
well i think that was all :)
