Actually, all the jack2* packages provides jack* without specify the version provided. This may be a problem when some package depends on jack* by specifying a version. Ex. installed: jack2 (that provides unversioned jack) exampleapp depends on jack>=0.121.0 Installing exampleapp would request jack2 to be replaced by jack, that is wrong. Specifying provides=("jack=$pkgver" "jack..=$pkgver" ..) for all jack2* packages instead, would solve. Additional info: * package afflicted : jack2{-dbus,}{-multilib,} * package version(s): 1.9.8-1 Steps to reproduce: Install jack2, then install some package depending on jack>=0.x.x |

For anyone in the future: We discussed and realized that we don't really need something like this, since we don't really like versioned deps, since arch provides the latest, we version only for things like rebuilds / last supported iso / gcc etc.
