It would be nice if kdebase-runtime was a split package, so kdebase-runtime-nepomuk could be removed for a minimalistic installation, for example.

You get the same "result" if you disable Desktop Search in System Settings, don't you?

I don't like to split the KDE tarballs. I wanna keep the KDE layout so every KDE module has its package in Arch.

IMHO applications are different than libraries. And those modules are migrating to git, then they'll be split by upstream.

kdebase-runtime is a collection of libraries, apps, and kcmodules, just like kdemultimedia, kdesdk, kdegames, etc.

And kdebase-runtime is already in git, not all modules are getting split upstream.
