DetailsDescription:
I upgraded chromium from 15.0.874.121-1 to 17.0.963.83-1 Chromium does not start and reports: /usr/lib/chromium/chromium: error while loading shared libraries: libpng15.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Libpng version that provides libpng15 is not marked as a dependency for Chromium. Following should probably be filed as another issue? I upgraded libpng on my (outdated) system. Many critical components are dependent on libpng14 and get broken by this update. Should and could the old libraries be kept intact when upgrading libpng? Additional info: * package version(s) chromium-17.0.963.83-1 libpng-1.5.9-1 libpng-1.4.8-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: [root@rotta pkg]# pacman -S chromium pacman: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by /usr/lib/libalpm.so.7) resolving dependencies... looking for inter-conflicts...
