DetailsA friend just told me when mozilla-firefox is not installed, pacman -S gnome will fail becaus "mozilla-firefox conflicts with nss-nspr". After installing mozilla-firefox manually, installing gnome will work without problems.

Additional comments about closing: Should be fixed in testing. We have nss and nspr nowadays. Firefox no longer provides these libs.

I had the same problem, pacman -S mozilla-firefox first then do pacman -S gnome
