DetailsDescription: Suspend (sudo pm-suspend) once works perfect. The machine goes into S3 and wake up normal. But if I try to suspend it again (it's not important when), the disk seems to spin down, but the fans continue to work and the lamp at the front of the tower continue to light.

I'm also having this problem with the kernel versions on my Dell XPS M1330 with Geforce 8400M GS.
linux 3.1.9-2
linux 3.2.8-1
linux 3.3.0
and
nvidia-utils 295.33-1
Symptoms are:
While trying to hibernate the machine, my external Display switches Off but the internal notebook display does not switch on again ( normally, there is a blinking cursor in the top left corner while hibernating). The image is written to HD nevertheless and I can resume from disk next time.
Unfortunately, the newest xserver requires the newest Nvidia driver, so I'll file a bug report for them.
