On IRC, a developer told me that it doesn't work since it's still a work in progress and that it shouldn't be compiled in a distro package.

I can confirm that this feature does still not work, and is still enabled in arch's version of clementine.

Ok, the feature does not works.
Does it really hurt to leave this enabled in our package ?

Leaving it enabled doesn't have any use - why would you want to leave it enabled? It just confuses users.

It's even disabled by default; it's not clear to me why it has been enabled in the first place.

Yes, it hurts to have it enabled: some users will want to know why this feature doesn't work and will end up opening bugs here or in Clementine's bug tracker.

If you're just lazy and don't want to recompile it, just say it - we understand.

Yes, I am lazy :)
I will change this the next time I will have to rebuild the pkg.
