Description:
Starting dosmenu does't lead to a DOS prompt as expected. Program is hanging, no further output.
Starting in TTY produce no output, starting in X-Terminal barks about missing font and that "remote X" is used.

The package from AUR dosemu-svn works instead.

Disclaimer: I'm not using this program myself, i write this report only for someone a bit lazyer than me... So I'm no further help in solving this.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
1.4.0-6 i686 and x86_64
* config and/or log files etc.
$ dosemu

You do not have the DOSEMU vga11x19 font installed and are running
remote X. You need to install the vga11x19 font on your _local_ Xserver.
Look at the readme for details. For now we start with an fixed font,
which does not display all national characters correctly.
... be warned

Steps to reproduce:
Install and start dosemu

The font problem is related to missing dependency with xorg-xlsfonts package, but dosemu still "hang".

Digging a bit it seems to loop in register_charset() function in translate.c file.

You should try this patch available in the SVN trunk:
http://dosemu.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dosemu/trunk/src/plugin/translate/translate.c?r1=2032&r2=2058

Ok, it seem to work. A package with the fixes should follow soon.
