Description:

I was trying out some stuff on piding, and I noticed *a lot* of warning in the console saying /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/emblems/16/mobile.png could not be opened. This also made me notice that users connected from their mobile lacked the distinctive icon.

A quick pacman -Ql made me find that the icon in question was located in /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/emotes/small/mobile.png
I moved the icon to the previously mentioned locations, and all users connected from mobile phones had the distinctive icon on the buddy list.

I think this is just a packaging error, though I may be wrong.

Additional info:
* package version(s): 2.10.1-1

Steps to reproduce:
Open the debug window.
Connect to XMPP while there's someone connected from a mobile phone.
You'll see lots of warnings that the file (image) does not exist.

we don't cherry pick files and copy them in some random directories.

we use make install and if it placed the icon in the wrong directory then you should report it upstream.

I know; I wasn't suggesting that you just moved it to where I said.
My point was that pidgin is looking for the icon in the wrong location; this *could* be a packaging issue, or it could be an upstream issue or something else.

Does the location where pigin looks for this icon depend on any external factors, or is it always the same? Should I just go ahead and report this upstream?

go ahead and report it upstream, is not our bug.
