Detailsrc.d/net-profiles line 11 reads:
if [[ "$daemon" = "${daemon#!}" && "$daemon" = "net-rename" ]]; then 1) This is a bit superfluous, just the "$daemon" = "net-rename" would do fine, since it implies that the daemon does not start with "!". 2) The usage of the daemons array suggests /etc/rc.conf should be sourced. It once was, but was replaced with /etc/conf.d/netcfg in a refactoring session. Currently it gets sourced through the arch hook which is sourced by /usr/lib/network/globals. These observations also hold for rc.d/net-auto. The first observation also holds for rc.d/net-auto-wireless. |
