Description:
When opening a saved VNC connection from the connection list by double-clicking, the tab opens in the remote server viewer window, however the view of the remote server is intermittently displayed at the upper-left-hand-corner of the screen with a gray background around it and if scaling is being used, will appear with improper scaling. The display of the remote server is then corrected if the viewer window receives the focus by clicking the title-bar or other part of viewer window. The view of the remote server should be centered within the window with a black background and be properly scaled.

Remote servers that require viewer scaling do not properly scale until the viewer window receives focus from a click, and often scale correctly but very slowly after the viewer window receives focus.

The viewer window does not receive full focus (is still inactive) after the connection is displayed. Shouldn't the viewer window gain full focus after the connection has initially been displayed?

This problem started with the Remmina's change from the 'extras' repo to 'community'.

Additional info:
* remmina 1.0.0-2

Steps to reproduce:
* Double-click saved VNC connection in Remmina connection list
* Roughly 5 out of 10 times the remote server will display in the viewer window at upper-left-hand corner of viewer instead of in the center (viewer window does *not* gain focus at this point)
* Click the title-bar or other part of viewer window to give it focus, then the remote server will be properly centered, will display properly scaled (if scaled) and the background will turn black

Clicking a toolbar button in the remote server viewer window that has a menu, such as 'Preferences' or 'Tools' displays the menu all the way at the upper-left corner of the window. Should I make a separate report for that?

What window manager do you use? It works fine for me in both notion and kde.

I am using Xfce4/xfwm4, no compositing, on both nvidia and ati X drivers. Remmina worked fine before it was moved from extras to community. I have tried it in openbox and same problems. The remote viewer window issues still exist, as well, even after the last update.

While I'll leave this report open, I have downloaded and installed the older 0.9.2 remmina and remmina-plugins sources directly from the older remmina site, compiled and installed and everything is wonderful again. I use remmina too much to wait for the Arch 1.0.x version to be fixed.
