Hello,

I noticed today that a partition was full. It seems that syslog-ng.conf was backed up to syslog-ng.conf.pacsave. However, I have a rule in my syslog-ng.conf-file for filtering out/dropping some message that are generated by pppoa3 and that fill up my logs. So, my logs becan to grow to several 100 MB (if I remember correctly). I'm not sure how it is decided to replace the old one with the new one or store the new one as .new(?), but could you put the new syslog-ng.conf-file as .new please or are there any reasons for not doing this?

thanks,

Michel
