Details

Description:
After resizing through key shortcut, the Terminator's window changes to very small dimensions and blinks.

Additional info:
-Kernel: 3.2.5
-Xorg: 1.11.4
-Fluxbox: 1.3.2
-Terminator: 0.96

Steps to reproduce:
I changed the fluxbox-keys file to resize windows, like this:

Mod4 Down :ResizeTo 683 740

Then, I find that the Terminator's windows responds in a bad way, because the window changes to very small dimensions and blinks. If I open a new tab (I mean more than one tab) the problem disappears. I have been test with others programs (firefox, gimp, vlc) and they works fine.

I am having this same issue.
I think it's a VTE. Will post more info when I have it.

terminator 0.96-1
vte 0.28.2-3
vte-common 0.30.1-2
linux 3.2.9-1
xorg-server 1.12.0-1
evilwm 1.1.0-1

This is fixed by upgrading VTE

# vte 0.28.2-3 => 0.31.0-1

I had to use ABS and edit the PKGBUILD to get the newer version.

Seems like should be built with vte3 instead of vte

Could someone please confirm this bug is still valid? And especially whether you can/cannot reproduce it with vte3.

For tests purpose, the following package was built against and requires vte3:

Setting dependency to vte3 prevents terminator from starting, see  FS#34256 .
