Details

The new pcre renamed it's library from libpcre.so.0 to libpcre.so.1

pkg-config must be recompiled to be relinked to the new library.

The lack of a working pkg-config breaks the compilation of a lot of packages.

pkg-config does not link to libpcre; it links to libglib which has been updated with the new pcre release...

So I guess you aren't seeing any issue, are you?
