Details

Description: The RPD plugin to allow connectivity to Windows based machines seems to be missing in the 1.0.0-1 release. Other functionality is present including: NX, SFTP, SSH, VNC, and XDMCP. Is this a package bug or did upstream yank rpd support?

Have you installed the freerdp package? I've noticed the remmina-plugins package no longer exists with Remmina 1.0.0, and instead, freerdp is listed as an optional dependency. With freerdp installed, remmina 1.0.0 has RDP as an option for me.

freerdp was installed prior to remmina-1.0.0-9, which includes remmina-plugin-rdp.so - nevertheless I get the error message "Protocol plugin RDP is not installed."

Sorry for the fuss, but I solved the issue somehow. Unfortunately I can't really remember how. Even with an un-install, reboot and install I'm now unable to reproduce the problem. Nevertheless, at the initial install I did get the same message like the OP (otherwise I wouldn't have found this bug repoert).

As far as I'm concerned, this one can be closed again.
