<Wortox> Can anybody tell me if the package "tor-geoipdb" is really needed and for what ? Im about to request it for a arch repo. Not sure its worth the trouble.
<Sebastian> Tor itself uses geoip as a relay and bridge, for statistics
<Sebastian> and it uses it as a client, when the user uses something like the ExitNodes option
<Sebastian> together with a country code
<Wortox> really. So it sounds rather importaint
<Sebastian> because of that, the debian Tor package recommends the tor-geoip package
<Sebastian> which means that most users install it by default
<Sebastian> but it is not required, because it is possible to use Tor without it
<Sebastian> and yes, it definitely is rather important.
IMO it should really be in there.
Not much to do really.
