DetailsDescription:
pwsafe has the ability to copy usernames and passwords to the clipboard, allow you to paste them in applications, then immediately delete them from the clipboard. However, pwsafe does not properly paste text into some applications, like Google Chrome. This bug has been reported on the Fedora Bugzilla here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=667541 A patch has been made to correct the issue, available here: http://ricky.fedorapeople.org/pwsafe/pwsafe-XChangeProperty.patch I have been using the "pwsafe-twice" package on the AUR to get around this issue (it copies to the clipboard twice, which manages to make the clipboard functionality to work), but it probably makes more sense to apply the above patch to the official package in [community]. Steps to reproduce: 1) $ pwsafe -p <sitename> 2) Attempt to paste in Google Chrome, for example 3) Nothing happens Additional information from the Chromium bug tracker: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=37755 http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=43300 |
