Description:
Pidgin crashes or hangs when a certain URL is pasted into conversation window

Additional info:
* pidgin 2.10.1-1
* libpurple 2.10.1-1


Steps to reproduce:
* Open conversation with contact on buddy list (was using XMPP/Jabber)
* Paste the following URL into the conversation window:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=35.36281768393722&lon=-118.95665645599365&site=hnx&smap=1&unit=0&lg=en&FcstType=text&mp=1
* Pidgin will crash/hang with high CPU usage

Tried running Pidgin from terminal, but no error messages were output when crash/hang happens

Additional comments about closing:  After reading the bug reporting FAQ from upstream, it appears running with Purple Plugin Pack is unsupported, so I will not receive any help upstream with this issue. Please close this bug report.

I can't reproduce the crashes you're seeing, so it would be helpful if your could further narrow down the issue by following the instructions on http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/TipsForBugReports.

Thanks for the information Evangelos. Unfortunately it appears that running with Purple Plugin Pack is unsupported, so I will not receive any help upstream with this issue. Will request that this bug report be closed.

If you disable the plugins from Purple Plugin Pack (and/or uninstall purple-plugin-pack), does the issue go away? If not, it'd still be applicable to Pidgin.
