Description:
When adding a new printer, on the page that displays the list of printer Makes, the list is littered with many duplicates and empties. This is any time after a clean install of cups and hplip. Additional info: * cups 1.5.0-1 * hplip 3.11.12-1 Steps to reproduce: * Load cups web config page * Click 'Administration' tab * Under 'Printers' section click 'Add Printer' * On next page, select type of printer (local/network/etc) * On next page, enter connection URL * On next page, fill in 'Name', 'Description', etc. I did not put check in 'Share This Printer' * On next page is the list with the duplicates and empties. |

Is this still a problem with latest updates? I haven't seen this
but I'm not using hplip. Can you try to remove hplip and check if
it is caused by hplip or cups/foomatic packages?

Remove hplip and dependencies (mostly foomatic) and the duplicates
and empties are not there. Installed foomatic without hplip and
while the list is bigger, it does not have empties and
duplicates...appears to be an hplip problem
