Details

Kernel pukes after a null pointer dereference when attempting to use OSS soundon facility and/or when oss_hdaudio, oss_usb, oss_core get loaded.

Kernel log excerpt attached.

Glad to provide other documentation or atmospherics as necessary. My apologies. I am not a good Linux hacker, so I'm not sure what else you might need to address or escalate the issue.

Please take that to the opensound-devel mailing list[1]. I can/will only fix packaging bugs and that doesn't look like one.

Dev Mazumbdar, the OSS developer whom I apparently reached just wrote back to inform me that the bug I reported has been fixed in their Mercurial repository.
