Details

Description:
After installing VDrift, there was no menu entry for it in the applications menu. I found out that there was a UTF-8 byte order mark in the beginning of the vdrift.desktop file. After removing it, the menu entry showed up successfully.

I'm using Xfce desktop, but I guess that other desktops might also be affected.

Additional info:
vdrift 2011.10.22-3


Steps to reproduce:
* Install VDrift
* Notice that there is no menu entry for it
* Remove BOM from vdrift.desktop -> menu entry appears

This one is strange. It suddenly gets that BOM during makepkg.

Should be fixed in new release. Please reopen if it is not.
