That's a newbie feature request:

but why do we still have a btrfs-progs-unstable in [core] while we have a btrfs-progs package that is way more recent that btrfs-progs-unstable.

btrfs-progs 0.19.20120110-2
btrfs-progs-unstable 0.19.20101006-2

so the supposed to be unstable and more recent is just 1 year and a half older than btrfs-progs !!!

Can't we just remove btrfs-progs-unstable ?
