Description:

After upgrade sdl to sdl-1.2.15-1-x86_64 the screen resolution in qemu-kvm guest virtual machine is broken.
If the guest screen resolution is greater than the host screen resolution, so the screen is not reduced (not diminish?). Right and bottom of the guest screen is not displayed and is not accessible.
When I downgraded sdl-1.2.15-1-x86_64 to sdl-1.2.14-10-x86_64 everything works OK.

Steps to reproduce:

Run KVM virtual machine with screen resolution biggest than your host machine have. Use -vga std

Yes, problem still exists.

[2012-09-06 22:41] upgraded sdl (1.2.14-10 -> 1.2.15-2)

$ uname -a
Linux arch-cze0040 3.5.3-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Aug 26 09:14:51 CEST 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ qemu-kvm --version

$ xdpyinfo|grep resol
resolution: 76x76 dots per inch

$ sdl-config --version
1.2.15
$ qemu --version
QEMU emulator version 1.2.0 (qemu-kvm-1.2.0), Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard
$ uname -a
Linux arch 3.6.6-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Nov 5 11:57:22 CET 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

guest have resolution 1440x900


so problem can be close
